Cake

So this morning I attempted to use my new silicon piping bag from Lakeland. I've never attempted to decorate a cake with a piping bag so my efforts were very elementary but the cake tastes alright and I guess that's all that really matters. The 'R' is for Rob, who will eat most of the cake.

The cake was just a regular sponge, but the recipe I used was easy and it turned out amazing. I used a very rich vanilla buttercream frosting with a raspberry filling. It's definitely ediable.

The piping was surprisingly easy and the bag was a snap to clean up, in fact it and the 5 tips that came with it are all dishwasher safe! Hopefully I'll get better at it, I have to keep practicing and stop eating all the icing, though.
