We can sleep!!! hopefully

This week we've been sleeping on our sofabed up until Wednesday because we've been getting our bedroom soundproofed. We have had a constant problem with noise from our upstairs neighbours and we've finally been able to do something about it. On Sunday, after we came back from East Grinstead we moved everything out of our bedroom, including all the internal bits of our brand new wardrobe. For the past three days we've been living in mess and mainly in one room, but it's all worth because now we can sleep soundly!

We're very impressed with the man who did our soundproofing and I have to just give him a big recommendation. We used Soundproofing R US and we worked with Daniel. He was great, he was on time, tidy, and kept us informed with what was going on by emailing us photos of his progress throughout the day. I was so impressed and would definitely use him again, which we just might do if we decide to get the whole house soundproofed!

Here is the progression of events:

Start of the suspended ceiling.
Wool insulation and rubber soundproofing.
Final foam board layer of soundproofing.
Plastering.
The finished product!

Right, now for a proper night's sleep!
